If you are pregnant with twins (pictured, twin girls of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Kim Porter) you are busy buying two of everything such as 2 car seats, 2 highchairs and 2 cribs. What about clothes? Have you decided if you will be dressing them alike or dressing them different?

If you decide to dress them alike, you may find that it is easier to buy two of the same outfit instead of trying to figure out multiple outfits. It also wards off the question, “Are they twins?” when they obviously are if dressed alike. Not to mention, they just look darn cute dressed alike in photographs.

You may decide you want to dress them differently. They are two separate people, after all, and it might be a good way to help them express their individuality early on. Dressing them in different outfits will help people distinguish one twin from the other, especially when they are in the bald baby stage.

You can also take the middle ground and dress them alike for some occasions (holidays, photographs) but keep their outfits different most of the time. Some parents dress their twins in coordinating colors, but not the exact same outfits. Once your children get older, it is a good idea to let them decide how they want to dress.
