Brooke Burke, now pregnant with her 4th child, bounced back so quickly after having her children that it left many women wondering how she did it. I’m sure good genes (and a kick-butt trainer) had a little to do with it, but Burke swears by a post-pregnancy belly wrap. She believes in them so much that she has designed her own line of post-pregnancy wraps called Tauts.

Tauts wrap around your belly, much like a girdle, and are to be worn for forty days after a natural delivery.

Why do they work? Brooke explains: “It is believed that a belly wrap reduces the size of the swollen uterus, reduces water retention in the belly, and helps you lose inches fast, all while supporting that unwanted baggy baby skin!”

She warns that this product is not to be worn during pregnancy or after a C-section. Tauts are available in Black and White lace and plain with prices starting at $56.

Tauts are available online at Babooshbaby.com. Caution: you may get slightly nauseous at the multiple pictures of her perfectly flat belly!

Brooke’s site, babooshbaby.com, may have been down yesterday (December 20th). I just tried it today and it seemed to be working. Click on “Store” and you will be able to purchase a Taut directly from her site. Unfortunately, she does not sell them anywhere else but at her website. I am searching out other alternatives for post-partum belly wraps for more options. Let me know if you were able to order!

Have you ever used hipslimmer (available at http://www.hipslimmer.com)? It is a post-pregnancy hip compression corset designed to reduce one your hips after you deliver. My friends have tried it and swear it worked wonders.

I have tried hipslimmer and it worked wonders! The taut seems like a good idea too.

I don’t quite understand why people will invest much money in this product, though it is a great invention. The more traditional approach would be wrapping your stomach in plastic wrap and wrapping a cheap $5-$10 belt over to increase the effects of sweating and weight loss in addition to moving around, attending to the gym and such. Simply putting this on will not emit a miracle body though everyone is always looking for a quick fix.

Got something to say?
