Pregnant celebrity Brooke Burke recently opened up to Entertainment Tonight about how fitness plays a big part in helping her bounce back after baby. Burke, who pregnant with her fourth child, is famous for baring her bikini-ready body only months after giving birth.

“I’ve been doing Pilates for eight years. I actually started with my first pregnancy. I’m a big believer in staying fit during pregnancy,” the former Wild on E! host tells Entertainment Tonight.

Burke, 36, said she gained 30 pounds while pregnant with her daughter, 10-month-old Rain, and she credits exercise as her secret weapon. “I know a lot of women are a little afraid to work their abs, or are afraid of core work, but I think it supports your back and I think it helps for an easier delivery and it makes us feel good,” she says.

After delivery, Burke says she used a post-partum compression wrap (she has her own line of wraps called Taut) and begins working out just two weeks after delivery. “The more fit you are during your pregnancy, the quicker you’re going to bounce back. I probably started up two weeks after delivery and I felt I could handle that,” she says.

Most doctors recommend waiting at least 6 weeks after delivery before beginning a workout regimen, so make sure you check with your doctor before you begin an exercise routine.
