Sunglass savvy
July 26, 2007
Whether you have just had a baby or are sporting a rather large baby bump, sometimes it is hard to feel fabulous when all you feel is frumpy.
Instead of buying more clothes, why not spring for a great pair of sunglasses? You would be surprised how the right shades can spruce up your entire look! Plus, we all know that wearing sunglasses helps to protect your eyes from the sun and prevents squint lines.
Here is what to keep in mind when buying sunglasses:
- If you have an oval-shaped face, you can get away with almost any shape although square frames will look best.
- Round faces look best with frames that have an angular shape. Avoid round frames that will make your face look fuller. A good option would be the Versace 4098 frames ($179.95, pictured) available at Sunglass Hut.
- If your face is square, pick frames that are round or oval to soften your angular features.
- Heart-shaped faces look best with frames that draw the attention up to balance out a narrow jaw line. Look for frames that are colorful or have a straight top line.
A good rule of thumb is to pick a frame that is opposite of your face shape to help balance out your features. Get more sunglass buying tips at our sister site, SheKnows.com.
