Tori Spelling talks body confidence after baby
September 12, 2007

Tori Spelling talks to People about her new life as a mom to 6-month-old Liam. The topics discussed included her new-found body image, losing the weight, and her hard recovery after her c-section.
Her c-section:
“One of the biggest misconceptions is that celebrities have c-sections because it’s easier. If I had a choice, I would not have, I would not recommend it. The recovery is much worse.”

Balancing work and motherhood:
“You have to make the time to spend with your baby. But the great thing is, in the work I do currently, Liam can be with us. I get to be with my baby and my husband all day long. There’s nothing better. Life as a mom is fantastic—it’s hectic, but I always say the show and bed and breakfast is more work than Liam is.”
Her post-baby workout:
Spelling said after the baby was born she couldn’t help but wonder if she would get her body back. She said she has lost 30 pounds, which is “not the thinnest I’ve ever been, but I’m at the weight I was when I got pregnant, which is the weight I’d like to stay at.” Her workouts consist of kickboxing and things to get “her butt in shape.”
About self confidence:
“To me it is all about body image and confidence. That is basically what I got is confidence in my self again.”
Having a healthy sense of self confidence before baby is born is just as important as after baby is born. Click here to find out how to prepare for birth and labor by beefing up your positive self image.
