Drink your vitamins

Editor's pick: Though it can't even begin to replace your daily prenatal vitamin, Dasani's new NutriWater (due to launch nationwide this year) is nevertheless a refreshing and significant source of some vitamins and minerals. Health benefits aside, this beverage comes in four fresh flavors with no artificial sweeteners and only 20 calories per eight-ounce serving - ideal for any mom or mama-to-be, but perhaps especially appealing to those who suffer with nausea. At $1.49 per bottle, this is a once-a-day indulgence for me. Flavors and functions include mandarin orange with vitamin C and zinc for your immune system; lemon-tangerine with calcium for healthy bones and teeth; and wild berry and pear-cucumber with antioxidants Vitamins C (and E in the wild berry flavor), plus B3, B6 and B12 for their metabolic benefits. The mandarin orange is my favorite so far, and while I initially was skeptical of the pear-cucumber combination, I find it much tastier than it sounds. Cheers!
