Take care of morning sickness gingerly

Midwives and moms have known this for years: Ginger can help relieve morning sickness. The September/October 2002 issue of Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine reported that 77 percent of women in a study who drank a ginger honey syrup felt significantly better within nine days. The researchers suggest that consuming a gram of ginger per day - in syrup or otherwise - can help some women feel better.

Make your own ginger tea by boiling grated gingerroot in water. Strain and sweeten (especially good with honey) before drinking. Remember, though: Like most sickness remedies, not everything works for everyone 100% of the time. If it doesn't help you right away, consider trying it again after a week.
