Heartburn help

You don't have to take heartburn lying down! (In fact, you'll probably feel better if you don't lie down for a couple hours after eating.)

Here are five things you can do during and after mealtime to help beat the burn.

  1. Eat small, frequent meals.
  2. Chew your food well and don't rush through your meal.
  3. Avoid fatty and fried foods.
  4. Stay away from acidic foods, like citrus and tomatoes.
  5. Don't drink liquids with your meals - drink beverages between meals instead.
