The Story
Baby Mabel's opened its boutique doors in 1999 on the Designer Row of Cedros Avenue in the charming little beach town of Solana Beach, California, and is owned by sisters Lisa Ketchum, Colleen Morgans, Leah Cassidy and Suzanne Mitchell. The inspiration for their oh-so-hip boutique came from the gals' grandmother, Mabel. At a young age, the girls learned from Grandma Mabel and her Audrey Hepburn-esque style that fashion should be a source of inspiration, creativity, and most importantly, fun. Thanks to Mabel, as the sisters grew up, each developed a true flair and passion for all things fashion. In 1997 they opened their first designer boutique, appropriately named, "Mabel's," which, to this day, is a hot spot on every Southern California fashionista's shopping list.

As the stylish sisters continued to grow in life, each got married and eventually, pregnant. As mommies-to-be, their passion for fashion certainly didn't diminish, but their choices for trendy, sexy and fun clothing did. The gals were incredibly frustrated by the lack of stylish, hip and playful maternity clothing on the market, as well as by the few existing retail shops to purchase needed maternity attire in. So they set out to fix it... and with that, "Baby Mabel's" was born.
