At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, our new mothers give birth in beautifully decorated private labor-delivery-recovery rooms. Soft colors, recessed lighting and coordinated bedding and drapery provide a sense of "home." Special touches, including full-sized tubs for relaxation during labor and comfortable birthing beds, add to the mother's comfort.

Once you have delivered your baby, you will be taken to your reserved, private, two- or three-room suite, offering the finest in comfort for you, your baby and your family members. Because the rooms are so large, they provide the perfect overnight accommodations for a family member or a nanny. These rooms are exceptionally designed with hardwood floors, elegantly coordinated bedding and drapes and recessed lighting. It is the perfect setting to bond with your newborn baby.

All the Comforts of Home
For your convenience, every deluxe room includes an in-room refrigerator, stocked with complimentary chilled juices and bottled water. You will find a stereo/CD player, as well as a television and VCR. To help you stay connected, there is even a laptop computer with fax, modem and Internet access available right in your room - the ideal tools to spread the word about your new baby.

Our Deluxe Maternity Suites program also provides new mothers with a hair dryer, hotel-style robe and complimentary toiletries. For an added fee, you can arrange for salon services, such as haircut and style, manicure and pedicure - the perfect way to pamper yourself.

All patients in the deluxe suites receive a basket of fresh fruit and muffins with their first deluxe meal, and beverages are stocked in the refrigerator. We are happy to provide one deluxe meal for the mother's partner each day, but the other meals that are part of the deluxe service are provided for the new moms only. To celebrate the birth of your baby, a private dinner for two is included in the deluxe package. You will share a very special meal, choosing your dinner from a menu specially catered for this occasion. Extra touches, such as a linen tablecloth and napkins and chilled juices on ice, help make this a special dining experience.

Our Inclusive Price
The Deluxe Maternity Suites package includes all amenities, unless otherwise mentioned. This package is an additional daily fee over and above the base hospital charge for a normal maternity stay. Payment is due at the time of admission and may be conveniently paid by credit card. It is important to note that this deluxe service is not covered by insurance.

Optional amenities at an additional charge include limousine and security services, a private-duty registered nurse and home visits from a private home-care nurse, a lactation education consultant or both.
